Description

Five Hundred Club, opend in 1980, is located on the foot of Mt.Fuji in Susono City, Shizuoka Prefecture. It takes 10 minutes from Susono IC of Tomei Expressway or 30 minutes from JR Mishima Station by car.

Noboru Goto the president of Tokyu Corporation chose Chohei Miyazawa as designer and development had started. This course is taken advantage of terrain, view, soil, vegetation and climate. The basic concepts of the course are “Every player from beginner to advanced can enjoy golfing according to their abilities.” , “Be a champion course that is able to hold the professional competitions.” and “Be beautiful and dignified.”.

Overall this course has gentle undulations and sufficient distance. The fairway is very wide that you will not worry in the teeing ground.

The OUT course has doglegs and ponds but those are flat courses with few ups and downs.

The IN course makes use of the natural undulations. It is composed of the narrow courses required accurate shots and the wide courses that can play comfortable. The difference in elevation of the course is 150 m. The OUT course is located in low area and the IN course in high area.

Each hole is designed to be a gentle downhill, and several uphill holes are also designed to be a gentle hill. You can play without feeling of the difference in elevation. The 8th hole, 459 yards par-4, is very difficult as 1 handicap. The 9th par-3 hole is a famous hole that can be seen Mt.Fuji on the left side. As it looks short but in fact it has an unexpected distance, you should select the club carefully. The 13th hole is uphill par-4 hole. You should hit the tee shot for the right side of the fairway. The 16th par-3 hole, surrounded by beautiful forests, has a pond.

The view of Mt.Fuji from the green is magnificent and beautiful. The clubhouse has a solid and dignified appearance. You can enjoy meals in season in a view of overlooking Suruga Bay.
